1. Simple ingredients (bonus points if you actually get these from your garden or farmers market!)- Sourdough baguette, basil, vine tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and a little s&p and butter. Turn the broiler on!
2. Slice the baguette, lightly butter, and add some s&p. Broil the bread for about 2 min., just until they are golden brown.
3. Meanwhile, slice the tomatoes and mozzarella.
4. Now, assemble these bad boys and finish by crackling a little pepper on top.
5. Lastly, broil for 2-3 min. Just want to melt that cheese....yum!
There is just something about this...it's simple and fresh yet has a ton of flavor! Definitely a crowd pleaser. Today kicked off the summer season for this dish in our house! Great end to the weekend.
